This section of the website provides information and data about the NJ 7th Congressional District current Congressman, Leonard Lance, Republican

Leonard Lance is a Republican congressman representing NJ7 since 2009. Before serving in the US Congress, Lance has served in the NJ General Assembly (1991 - 2003) and NJ Senate (2003 - 2009). Based on an analysis of voting records and bill sponsorship, Lance is a "rank-and-file Republican". Lance is an average Republican member of Congress, meaning he votes with the Republican Party on the majority of bills.
In the polarized Congress and divisive political landscape generated by the 2016 election, that means supporting even several divisive positions of the GOP and President Trump. It is safe to say that Lance is not standing up for decency and bipartisanship, he is not leading any significant political effort, he is a Trump administration enabler.

Lance cast notable votes against the Republican-sponsored Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and the American Health Care Act of 2017, which would have partially repealed the Affordable Care Act.
