About Blue Compass

We are a small group of technical people that wants to use our technical skills in support of real groudup Democracy. We have skills in the following areas: We have a solid understanding of the ideal democratic participatory process.
And we have a excellent understanding of how to organize the technical assets, data and resources to maximize the impact that activists can achieve to promote a better democracy.

We can be contacted via our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bluecompass.org/.

The 2018 Midterm election and in particular the NJ 7th Congressional District (NJ07 Data) has been our first effort.

After a successful Congressional election (see momories) for New Jersey, our effort is being applied to provide the same informational and data support to the Democratic candidates in the 2019 NJ Assembly elections.

Every 2 years there are midterm elections where 1/3 of the Senate (33 seats) and all the House 435 seats are at stake. Currently the Senate is 51R and 49D and the House is 237R and 193D.
The 2018 Midterm elections have been defined as the most important elections of the last 50 years by many experts. We agree because the Trump presidency is threatning the democratic institutions and processes and we should request that Congress perform its check & balance duty versus the administration. In order to empower the Congress we need to take the Congress GOP majority away. The nationwide goal is to elect a Democratic majority to the House (need 24 seats) and Senate (1 seat but a few Dem seats at risk).
There are countless topics that we think Democratic lawmakers can (and should) work if we can elect them to Congress: defend democracy (institutions, processes, independent judiciary, free press), taxes and wages ($15 minimum wage, unions), healthcare, immigration, environment protection, gun control, criminal justice, infrastructure, education and more.

Considering the importance of this election for America, we decided to provide the grassroots activism with data and tools that can help "navigate" and build a robust "Blue Wave"!
Blue Compass aims at helping progressive candidates as well as any citizens to understand better the electoral data, by congressional district, county, town and precinct.

With your interest and help we believe we can do some part in improving American democracy.
